Tributes paid to fallen hero Vahagn Asatryan in Yerablur
Tributes were paid to hero commander Vahagn Asatryan, who was killed in the 2020 Artsakh war, in Yerevan’s Yerablur Military Pantheon on May 9 celebrated as Victory Day in Armenia, the country's Defense Ministry reported.
Senior Defense Ministry officials and army officers, as well as the legendary commander’s comrades in arms and relatives attended the commemoration ceremony.
During the event, the Honorable Serviceman badge of military intelligence awarded by the order of Defense Minister Suren Papikyan was handed over to Asatryan’s relatives.
Colonel Vahagn Asatryan was posthumously awarded the National Hero of Armenia title.
