Yerevan court acquits Yuri Khachaturov's son
The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction has acquitted Igor Khachaturov, the son of former Armenian army chief Yuri Khachaturov.
Presiding judge Tatevik Grigoryan issued the acquittal on Wednesday.
Igor Khachaturov was charged with assaulting a police officer during opposition protests in Yerevan in 2022.
Khachaturov, whose father is also the former chief of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, was taken into custody on May 17 after he allegedly kicked out the policeman. He was released on bail on June 11.
