Armen Danielyan not elected as Court of Cassation member
The Armenian parliament on Thursday unanimously elected Yelizaveta Danielyan as a new member of the Court of Cassation’s Anti-Corruption Chamber dealing with corruption offences.
All 67 MPs in attendance of the parliament sitting backed Danielyan’s candidacy in a secret ballot. Her two contenders were judges Armen Danielyan and Arsen Nikoghosyan.
Lawmakers also installed Liza Grigoryan as a judge of the Anti-Corruption Chamber dealing with civil cases.
All candidates had been nominated by the Supreme Judicial Council, a state body overseeing Armenian courts.
