Colomina: NATO supports normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations
NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, Javier Colomina, has praised “good meetings” with Azerbaijani officials in Baku.
“Good meetings in Baku with FM Jeyhun Bayramov and Assistant to the President Hikmet Hajiyevz. Discussed NATO-Azerbaijan bilateral cooperation, Azerbaijan’s role in energy security, and status of peace process after recent talks,” he said in a tweet on Friday.
“NATO supports the normalisation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” Colomina said.
Earlier this week, the NATO official visited Yerevan where he met with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinian, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan.
Colomina also paid a visit to Georgia as part of his regional tour.
