Armenian chess players win prizes at 6th Sharjah Masters
The 6th Sharjah Masters 2023 tournament came to a close on Thursday and Armenian chess players are among the prize winners.
In the Masters Section, Haik Martirosyan scored 6 points out of 9 and shared the 2nd-8th places. With extra indications, Haik took the 5th place, the Armenian Chess Federation reports.
American-Armenian GM Samuel Sevian finished second.
In this group, Shant Sargsyan and Manuel Petrosyan garnered 5 points, while Samvel Ter-Sahakyan scored 4 points.
In the Challengers Section, Emin Ohanyan scored 7 points out of 9 and shared the 1st-2nd places. With extra indications, Emin took the 2nd place.
Mariam Mkrtchyan scored 5.5 points in this group.
