MP Abrahamyan: Azerbaijan trying to fabricate 'sabotage attack' by Armenian soldiers
Azerbaijan’s authorities have been trying to fabricate a Hollywood-style “sabotage attack” by Armenian troops since Friday, MP Tigran Abrahamyan of the opposition Pativ Unem faction said on Saturday.
Armenia’s Defense Ministry said late on Friday communication with two Armenian soldiers had been lost. Their vehicle was found on the inter-positional road on Saturday.
“First, they said Armenia allegedly attempted a subversive attack, then they accused Armenian soldiers of killing a civilian in Azerbaijani-held territory,” Abrahamyan wrote on Facebook.
“Obviously, Azerbaijan is trying to imitate the incident in which two Azeri soldiers intruded into Armenia from Nakhichevan and murdered a civilian in Kapan,” the deputy said.
He suggested the Armenian servicemen could have been abducted by Azeri forces.
