
Pashinyan congratulates Erdogan on re-election
Nikol Pashinyan has offered congratulations to Recep Tayyip Erdogan on winning the Turkish presidential election run-off.
“Congratulations to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his re-election,” the Armenian premier said in a tweet.
“Looking forward to continuing working together towards full normalisation of relations between our countries,” he added.
Erdogan won Sunday’s runoff with 52.14% of the vote, preliminary official results announced by Turkey’s Supreme Election Council (YSK) showed. Opposition leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu received 47.86%.
