Pashinyan: Armenia's debt to GDP ratio dropped to 46.7% in 2022
Armenia's state debt to GDP ratio dropped to 46.7% last year, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in the parliament on Monday.
Speaking at preliminary debates on the execution of 2022 government budget, Pashinyan said the ratio for 2017 was 58.9%.
“We have a debt management strategy approved by the government and we will be satisfied with the state debt to GDP ratio below 60% until 2026," Pashinyan said. adding that the nominal debt has increased.
"We have loan projects,” he said, referring to the North-South and other programs.
Pashinyan underscored salaries were increased in 2022.
