Azerbaijan violates ceasefire in Artsakh, uses mortars
Artsakh’s military authorities reported a fresh ceasefire violation by Azerbaijani forces on Tuesday.
“On May 30, the Azerbaijani military violated the ceasefire in the northern and eastern sections of the contact line, using firearms and mortars,” the Defense Ministry of Artsakh said in a statement.
“Azerbaijani forces fired 7 60mm mortars on a combat position of the Artsakh Defense Army. No casualties were reported on the Armenian side,” it added.
Russian peacekeepers have been alerted about the incident.
“The situation on the contact line is relatively stable as of 1pm May 30,” reads the statement.
