Parliament speaker: Children in Artsakh deprived of basic rights
The Artsakh National Assembly speaker, Artur Tovmasyan, has issued a congratulatory message on International Children's Day celebrated on June 1.
“Being under siege, you are deprived of basic human rights, lack access to warm homes, necessary food and full education,” Tovmasyan said.
“On this holiday, I would like to assure you that we will do everything in our power to ensure your carefree childhood and protect your homeland at all costs,” reads the message.
Azerbaijan has blocked the Lachin Corridor, the sole road in or out of Artsakh, since December 2022.
