Armenia stands in solidarity with India after tragic train crash
Armenia’s Foreign Ministry has expressed its condolences to India over the deadly train disaster in the city of Balasore, in eastern Odisha state.
“Deeply saddened by the tragic train accident in Balasore, Odisha. Armenia shares the grief of brotherly people in India,” the ministry said in a tweet on Saturday.
“Our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families & prayers for the speedy recovery of those injured,” it added.
At least 288 people have been confirmed dead and more than 1,000 injured following the collision between two passenger trains and a goods train in the Indian city on Friday.
