World U8-18 Rapid Chess Championships: Three Armenian players scored 3 points
The first game day of the World Under 8-18 Rapid Chess Championships 2023 ended in Batumi, Georgia on Tuesday.
After 3 rounds, three Armenian chess players have scored 3 points – Aleks Sahakyan (Open-18), Robert Piliposyan (Open-16) and Tyhran Ambartsumian (Open-12), the Armenian Chess Federation said.
Four participants have collected 2.5 points – Karen Tovmasyan (Open-18), Arman Harutyunyan (Open-12), Davit Melkonyan (Open-8) and Milena Gasparyan (Girls-18).
The rapid chess championship is held from June 6 to 8, in 11 rounds, and the blitz chess championship is held from June 10 to 11, again in 11 rounds.
