Yerevan court rejects lawsuit against opposition MP
A court in Yerevan has rejected a legal claim against MP Ishkhan Saghatelyan of the opposition Hayastan faction over last year’s anti-government protests in the Armenian capital, his lawyer Vahe Grigoryan said.
Former Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan filed four lawsuits against Saghatelyan, who was the main speaker at the opposition protests, asking the court to fine him a total of 1,200,000 drams.
The Yerevan Administrative Court on Thursday rejected one of them, granting a defense request, the lawyer said in a social media post.
“Further information on the final judicial acts in the remaining three cases will be provided later," Grigoryan added.
