Ombudsman: Medical workers make superhuman efforts in Artsakh under siege
The Artsakh Republic’s Human Rights Defender Gegham Stepanyan paid tribute to health care workers on the Medical Worker Day celebrated in Armenia and Artsakh on 21 June.
He stressed medical workers make superhuman efforts in Artsakh under the Azerbaijani blockade for over six months.
"During the war, often risking their own lives, Armenian medical workers proved their unwavering commitment to the mission of saving human lives,” Stepanyan said in a statement.
“Today, superhuman efforts are required from health workers to provide medical care to the population given the current extremely limited capacities in blockaded Artsakh,” he noted.
