Football Federation removes Facebook cover photo with Armenia’s coat of arms
The Football Federation of Armenia has removed its Facebook cover photo with Armenia’s coat of arms in the background shortly after adding it, Vazgen Saghatelyan, a former spokesman for the Revival Armenia Party, said on Wednesday.
"Armenia's Football Federation added this cover photo a few hours ago. I have just seen that the they have replaced it,” he wrote on Facebook.
“The Football Federation of Armenia, do you like Nikol [Pashinyan] or the country's coat of arms better?” Saghatelyan added.
The move came after Pashinyan's criticism of Armenia’s coat of arms and national anthem while addressing the parliament last week.
