Japanese envoy sings 'Armenian Eyes', dances with kids
Japanese Ambassador to Armenia Fukushima Masanori performed “Armenian Eyes" (Hayi Achker), a song by Robert Amirkhanyan, during his visit to Preschool No. 8 in Kapan. The video was published by the Kapan Municipality on Friday.
Thanks to the joint financial support from the Kapan Municipality, the Armenian government and the Embassy of Japan, Preschool No. 8 in Kapan has been providing children with a comfortable learning environment for almost two years.
On June 21, the institution hosted a reception in honor of Japanese Ambassador Fukushima Masanori.
A small gathering was also organized for the guests, where songs, dances and poems were performed by music teachers and students of the educational institution. The ambassador also joined the children in dancing.
During the reception, Masanori surprised the audience by singing two songs in Armenian – “Armenian Eyes” and "Beauty Beauty” (Ov, Sirun, Sirun) by Levon Mirijanyan.
