Critically ill Artsakh baby airlifted to Yerevan
A one-year-old baby with acute hemorrhagic encephalomyelitis has been airlifted from Artsakh to Armenia.
Artsakh’s Health Ministry said on Saturday the Russian peacekeepers stationed in Artsakh transferred the child to Yerevan by helicopter and delivered medical supplies to Karabakh on their way back.
The baby was in critical condition in the Arevik Medical Center in the past two days.
Six children are currently in intensive care in the hospital. Seven adult patients, including three critically ill, are in the intensive care of Stepanakert's Republican Medical Center, the Artsakh health authorities said.
Azerbaijan has banned relief supplies to and medical evacuations from Artsakh since June 15.
