Olivier Messiaen-115: Special concert in Yerevan to celebrate renowned composer
In honor of the 115th anniversary of esteemed French composer Olivier Messiaen, an extraordinary musical event is set to captivate audiences worldwide. Renowned Armenian musicians Hayk Melikyan (piano) and Anush Nikogosyan (violin), in collaboration with the French Embassy in Armenia and the French Institute, are proud to present a special concert dedicated to the profound and philosophical compositions of Messiaen, the Komitas Chamber Music House reported.
"Mark your calendars for 6 July as this remarkable performance unfolds at the Komitas Chamber Music House. The concert will commence with an opening speech by the distinguished Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France, H.E. Mrs. Anne Louyot, along with the exceptionally talented musicians, will mesmerize the audience with a repertoire of masterpieces composed as a tribute to the great Maestro. This event offers a remarkable opportunity for both music enthusiasts and professionals in Yerevan to immerse themselves in the unique renditions of Messiaen's works, which have found their home in Armenia," the Music House said.
"The significance of this concert is twofold, bearing in mind the friendly relations between Armenia and France, as well as the necessity to promote the magnificent compositions of the revered Maestro within our own country," Alexander Plato Hakobyan, the concert's organizer and producer, highlighted.
