Armenian wrestlers win 5 medals at U20 European Championships
Armenian Greco-Roman wrestlers have earned 5 medals, including 1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze, at the U20 European Championships held in Spain, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports reported on Thursday.
Yurik Hoveyan (63 kg) claimed a gold medal after defeating Vitalie Eriomenco of Moldova in the final on Wednesday.
Suren Aghajanyan (60 kg) and Vigen Nazaryan (87 kg) bagged silver medals, while Gaspar Terteryan (67 kg) and Homeros Arakelyan (55 kg) won bronze medals.
Armenia finished fourth in the team standings.
