Armenians urged to avoid direct sun exposure amid high UV index
Armenia’s weather authorities urge the public to avoid direct exposure to the sun from 11am to 5pm due to a high index of ultraviolet rays.
Rainless weather is expected in Armenia on Thursday and Friday.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast for some parts of the country over the weekend.
Hail is possible in some areas, the weather service says.
Southeast winds will be 2-5 meters per second and are likely to reach 15-20 m/s during thunderstorms.
Temperatures are set to rise by 2-3C on July 6-7 to gradually drop by 5-7C afterwards.
Showers and thunderstorms are possible in Yerevan, Armenia’s capital, during the weekend.
