Armenian, French FMs hold phone call
Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on Thursday had a phone conversation with French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna.
Ararat Mirzoyan briefed his French counterpart on the latest developments in the normalization process of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.
"The sides touched upon the key issues, in particular the delimitation of the state border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, addressing the rights and security issues of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh under the international mechanism, as well as the issues related to the unblocking of economic and transport communications in the region," the ministry said in its readout of the phone call.
"The urgency of international efforts to overcome the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh resulting from the illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor and to prevent Azerbaijan’s further actions aimed at ethnic cleansing was emphasized," the statement added.
