Armenia insists on Azerbaijan's full implementation of ICJ order
Azerbaijan has to fully implement the order of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on the Lachin Corridor, the sole road linking Artsakh to Armenia, Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan said on Saturday.
The UN court ordered Azerbaijan to take all measures at its disposal to ensure unimpeded movement of persons, vehicles and cargo along the Lachin Corridor in both directions on 22 February this year. The ICJ reaffirmed its order in response to Armenia’s request on Friday, finding that there is no need for its modification.
“The ICJ unanimously REAFFIRMED its Order of obliging Azerbaijan to ensure unimpeded access through the Lachin Corridor,” Badalyan said in a tweet on Saturday.
“Order of the Court, which is clear and has not changed since 22.02.23, should be fully implemented by Azerbaijan, without any speculation and fake interpretations of text,” she stated.
