Artsakh reports two blatant ceasefire violations by Azerbaijan in one week
Azerbaijani forces blatantly breached the ceasefire in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) twice in the past week, targeting civilians, the Artsakh police reported on Monday.
“On July 6 and 7, Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire regime in the Martuni region, opening fire on three civilians who were repairing an artesian well in the village of Berdashen,” the police said in a statement.
“Later on July 7, at around 7 p.m., Azeri forces attempted to set fire to wheat fields in the village of Machkalashen, firing 60mm mortars,” it said.
No casualties were reported. The ceasefire violations were reported to Russian peacekeepers stationed in Artsakh.
