Young Armenian wrestlers win 10 medals at European Championships
Armenian freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestlers have captured 10 medals, including 1 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze, at the U15 European Championships held in Kaposvar, Hungary, from July 6-9.
Freestyle wrestler Yeghishe Mosesyan (62 kg) won the European gold after defeating his Georgian rival 12-6, the Armenian the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports reported on Monday.
Young Armenian freestyle wrestlers also earned 2 silver and 3 bronze medals at the European Championships, taking the 3rd place in the team standings.
Members of Armenia’s youth Greco-Roman wrestling team won 2 silver and 2 bronze medals, finishing fourth in the team competition.
