Artsakh denies Azerbaijan's false claims of truce violation
The Artsakh Defense Ministry on Tuesday rejected Azerbaijan’s reports of ceasefire violation by its forces as disinformation.
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry falsely accused the Artsakh Defense Army of repeatedly firing at its combat positions in the occupied areas of Artsakh’s Askeran and Martuni regions on Monday.
The ministry also refuted Azerbaijan’s claims that its forces allegedly disrupted engineering work carried out by the Artsakh military.
“The false statements of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry aim to justify the fire that is regularly opened on citizens of the Artsakh Republic and agricultural machinery in order to disrupt agricultural works,” the Artsakh Defense Ministry said in a statement.
“On July 10, between 9:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m., units of the Azerbaijani armed forces opened fire from small arms on a harvester doing agricultural work in the fields of the Sarushen community,” it added.
