Artsakh lawyer's office ransacked
Artsakh-based lawyer Roman Yeritsyan says his law office was ransacked by a group of unknown men on Tuesday.
The attack was carried out on Tuesday morning when the lawyer was representing a client in court.
The assailants destroyed electronic and paper files of the law firm, Yeritsyan said in a video posted on Facebook.
They also assaulted the female employees who were in the office at the time and shouted swear words at them.
“You are deeply mistaken if you think that a lawyer cannot effectively pursue his client’s interests after facing such pressure,” Yeritsyan wrote, warning of widespread pressure on lawyers in Artsakh.
He claims the attack has been ordered by some officials.
