Protesters urge ICRC to raise awareness of critical situation in Artsakh
The Artsakh Armenians call on the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to sound the alarm bell about the critical situation in Artsakh amid Azerbaijan’s months-long blockade and stop the humanitarian catastrophe there.
Thousands of protesters marched to the ICRC office after rallying in Stepanakert’s Renaissance Square on Friday.
Speaking at the protest outside the Red Cross office, Artsakh’s State Minister Gurgen Nersisyan claimed the international organizations “are not fully informed” about the situation in Artsakh.
"We ask the ICRC Stepanakert office to provide them with complete information on the situation in Artsakh, including on the lack of access to drinking water, medicine, proper medical care and many other problems,” the minister said.
Protesters next marched to the headquarters of the Russian peacekeeping mission in Artsakh.
