Artsakh denies Azerbaijan's fresh accusations
Artsakh has rejected Azerbaijan’s false claims that its defense forces repeatedly suppress the GPS systems of civil aircrafts flying through Artsakh’s airspace.
“The statement released by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry that the relevant units of the Artsakh Defense Army regularly suppress the GPS systems of civil aircrafts flying through the airspace of Artsakh, as a result of which a serious threat to the safety of flights is created, is absolutely false,” the Artsakh Defense Ministry said in a statement on Saturday.
“Zangilan-Fizuli and Fizuli-Baku flights don't cross the airspace of the Artsakh-Azerbaijan contact line. Azerbaijan’s claim that the Defense Army suppressed GPS systems of aircrafts flying on these routes is false, since they can't be under the influence of defense forces' radio signals.
“Throughout the hostilities in 2020 and thereafter, it's the Azerbaijani side that has consistently targeted the civil infrastructure of Artsakh by blocking the Lachin Corridor, disrupting gas and electricity supplies and blocking access to the Internet and mobile communications,” reads the statement.
