UK strongly supports ICRC activities in South Caucasus
The British Embassy in Yerevan has expressed strong support for the activities of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the South Caucasus, urging all parties to refrain from the politicization of humanitarian assistance in the region.
“The ICRC has for many years carried out crucially important work in the South Caucasus, including along the Lachin Corridor, where their operations help support the local population obtain access to essential goods and services, including life-saving medication and health care,” the embassy said in a statement on Saturday.
“The UK government strongly supports the activities and continued work of the ICRC. The UK calls on all parties to refrain from the politicization of humanitarian assistance,” it added.
