Makunts stresses need for ensuring Artsakh Armenians' rights and security
Armenia’s Ambassador to the U.S. Lilit Makunts on Friday met with а member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Congressman Rich McCormick (R-Georgia), the Armenian Embassy in Washington reported.
“The interlocutors discussed issues related to Armenia-Azerbaijan peace negotiations, Armenia-Turkey relations normalization,” the embassy said in a statement.
“Ambassador Makunts underscored the significance of ensuring the rights and security of Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians and the U.S. engagement in the ongoing processes. Issues of advancement and deepening of Armenia-U.S. cooperation, further possible assistance by the United States were also discussed during the meeting,” it added.
