Expert challenges controversial concerts, festivals in Armenia
Iran specialist Vardan Voskanyan has challenged the wisdom of organizing various controversial concerts and festivals in Armenia, claiming they put Armenians at greater risk amid the “enemy's insatiable expansionist ambitions.”
“They create an extremely dangerous illusion as if the security challenges facing the Republics of Armenia and Artsakh have been successfully handled and now is the time to feast,” Voskanyan wrote on Telegram on Sunday.
His comments came after the Armenian government decided to allocate more than $5 million for the organization of a concert of U.S. rapper Snoop Dogg in Yerevan. The concert is scheduled for September 23.
“I continue to insist that the only guarantee for Armenia's strengthening and the defeat of barbarians is the creation of a fortress state where military-like discipline and order should prevail," the expert added.
