Artsakh president meets with militia fighters, MPs
President of Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan on Thursday met with a group of militia fighters, the presidential office reported.
“At their suggestion, the Head of the State presented the steps taken in the direction of ensuring the security of Artsakh, stopping the further course of the genocide and overcoming the humanitarian disaster,” it said in a press release.
The necessity of consolidating everyone's efforts and stability of the state system to face the challenges facing Artsakh was underscored during the meeting, the office added.
Separately, Harutyunyan received the deputies of the Free Motherland-UCA faction in the Artsakh National Assembly.
The president presented the recent developments in the foreign political field, particularly mentioning the discussions held at the UN Security Council session.
“At the meeting with the deputies, President Harutyunyan mentioned the severe socio-economic situation in the country, emphasized the need for coordinated use of external and internal potential to overcome the humanitarian disaster,” his office said.
