Artsakh denies Azerbaijan's claims of GPS jamming
Azerbaijan has falsely accused Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) defense forces of jamming the GPS system of a civil aircraft flying from Fizuli to Baku on Monday morning.
The Artsakh Defense Ministry rejected Baku’s accusations as false, stressing that the plane flying in the Fizuli-Baku airway does not cross Artsakh’s airspace.
“By spreading such false statements, Azerbaijan seeks to divert the international community’s attention from the worsening humanitarian disaster caused by the illegal blockade of Lachin Corridor,” the ministry said in a statement.
“It’s worth noting that during and after the hostilities in 2020, it was the Azerbaijani side that consistently targeted the civilian infrastructure of the Republic of Artsakh by blocking the Lachin Corridor, disrupting gas and electricity supplies, as well as jamming internet and mobile signals,” it added.
