Protest against Artsakh blockade held near UN office in Yerevan
The civilian’s initiative Opening on Monday staged a protest outside the UN Delegation Office in Yerevan, demanding an end to Azerbaijan’s Artsakh blockade.
The protesters pressed the UN to take action to break the months-long blockade of the Lachin Corridor, the sole land link between Artsakh and Armenia, and to deliver humanitarian relief to Artsakh’s hunger-stricken Armenian population.
"We demand that the UN respond to our first letter and present both the situation and its approaches on the issues outlined in the first letter,” they said.
The protesters also urged the UN Security Council to hold Azerbaijan's genocidal leaders to account.
They put bread at the entrances to the UN office, blocking them. They say the entrances will be opened when UN officials respond to their demands.
