OSCE's Kasprzyk to visit Lachin Corridor
Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on Wednesday met with Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office.
He has arrived in Armenia at the request of OSCE Chairman-in-Office Bujar Osmani to visit the Lachin Corridor and report him on the current situation, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said.
During the meeting, issues on regional security were discussed.
"Touching upon the deepening humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh resulting from Azerbaijan’s illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor, Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized the imperative of urgent and effective steps by the international community, including the OSCE, to prevent the imminent humanitarian catastrophe and its irreversible consequences," the ministry said in its readout of the meeting.
"Minister Mirzoyan also reaffirmed the importance of addressing the rights and security issues of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh under effective international mechanisms," it added.
