ICRC facilitates transfer of 6 Artsakh patients to Armenia
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has facilitated the transfer of 6 severely ill patients from blockaded Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Armenia, the Artsakh Ministry of Health reported.
The patients were transported to specialized medical facilities in Armenia on Monday, the ministry said in a statement.
Three other patients, who have completed their treatment in Armenia, are expected to return home along with their attendants later on Monday.
24 children are undergoing treatment in the Arevik Medical Center. 2 of them are in neonatal and intensive care.
87 adult patients, including 3 critically ill, are in the Republican Medical Center.
The people of Artsakh have been living under Azerbaijan's unlawful blockade for over eight months now.
