Opposition MP accuses Pashinyan regime of 'drowning out' Artsakh's calls for help
Opposition lawmaker Tigran Abrahamyan has accused the Armenian leadership of turning a blind eye to Artsakh’s calls for help and pushing for its subordination to Azerbaijan.
In a social media post on Monday, he highlighted the Artsakh state minister’s recent statement urging the Armenian authorities to provide political, legal, economic, social and psychological support to Artsakh in the current difficult situation.
“Despite the fact that the Artsakh issue has mostly been discussed within the framework of the dire humanitarian situation recently, it’s a consequence of unresolved political and security issues,” the MP wrote.
“It’s not solely about social issues, as Artsakh has already publically stated, but the fact that the Armenian government is acting in concert with the Turkish-Azerbaijani duo regarding Artsakh.
“The Pashinyan regime first gave up on Artsakh's political and security issues, then it expressed readiness to recognize Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan, thus giving the green light to its total blockade [by Azerbaijan].
“Artsakh is sounding a SOS alert, whereas the Armenian authorities are trying to drown it out through concerts and festivals,” he stated.
