Armenian swimmer wins gold at International University Sports Festival
Armenian swimmer Varsenik Manucharyan has captured a gold medal at the International University Sports Festival in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
She won the women's 100m butterfly event with a result of 1.02,11, the sports ministry reported on Tuesday.
Separately, Armenian sambists Arshavir Baghramyan and Aram Aghajanyan won silver and bronze medals at the competition, respectively.
Earlier, boxers Hayk Alaberkyan and Ruslan Aslikyan of Armenia had claimed gold medals.
The University Sports Festival runs from August 19 until August 31.
