Expert: Azerbaijan doing everything to cause chaos in Artsakh
Azerbaijan is doing everything it can to cause chaos in blockaded Artsakh and legitimize its possible military operation there, says Armen Petrosyan, a Yerevan-based orientalist.
“Despite the fact that the situation in Artsakh is growing more and more dire by the day due to the blockade, the key task is to keep the internal processes under control,” he wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
"Azerbaijan is taking all possible measures to cause chaos in Artsakh, which would provide Baku with "legitimate" grounds for a military intervention to "establish law and order in its own territory", to conduct a "counter-terror operation" or under some other pretext,” he stated, adding it would put an end to all talks regarding the Lachin Corridor and dialogue between Artsakh and Azerbaijan.
