Azerbaijan continues genocidal policy in Nagorno-Karabakh, Pashinyan warns
Armenia’s aid convoy remains stuck at the entrance to the Lachin Corridor as Azerbaijan refuses to allow it to proceed to Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Thursday.
At a weekly cabinet meeting, he highlighted that Azerbaijan also barred the French convoy of ten trucks carrying food and other essential items from entering Nagorno-Karabakh through a checkpoint which it illegally set up in the corridor in April.
Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo and other French local government officials escorted the relief convoy to the border area of Kornidzor adjacent to the Lachin Corridor on Wednesday.
“In the presence of Russian peacekeepers, Azerbaijan continues its policy of subjecting the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh to genocide through starvation,” the Armenian premier underscored. “This policy is aimed at forcing Armenians to leave the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh.”
