Red Cross facilitates transfer of 10 Artsakh patients to Armenia
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has facilitated the transfer of 10 severely ill patients from blockaded Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Armenia, the Artsakh Ministry of Health reported.
The patients were transported to specialized medical facilities in Armenia along with their attendants on Thursday, the ministry said in a statement.
One patient, who has completed treatment in Armenia, is expected to return home later on Thursday.
34 children are undergoing treatment in the Arevik Medical Center. 8 of them are in neonatal and intensive care.
94 adult patients, including 3 critically ill, are in the Republican Medical Center.
The people of Artsakh have been living under Azerbaijan's unlawful blockade for over eight months now.
