11 patients transferred from Artsakh to Armenia
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has facilitated the transfer of 11 severely ill patients from blockaded Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Armenia, the Artsakh Ministry of Health reported.
The patients were transported to specialized medical facilities in Armenia along with their attendants on Friday, the ministry said in a statement.
Four other patients, who have completed treatment in Armenia, are expected to return home later on Friday.
36 children are undergoing treatment in the Arevik Medical Center. 9 of them are in neonatal and intensive care.
97 adult patients, including 2 critically ill, are in the Republican Medical Center.
The people of Artsakh have been living under Azerbaijan's unlawful blockade for over eight months now.
