Artsakh president submits resignation
Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan submitted resignation to the National Assembly on Friday, September 1, the parliament’s press office reported.
Harutyunyan announced his decision to step down on Thursday.
In a statement posted on social media, he said Artsakh needs a new leadership to better cope with grave challenges facing it.
Harutyunyan said that he had made a final decision to resign two days earlier after analyzing his “contacts with all internal and external actors and the public.”
