MP calls for ‘zero tolerance’ towards chaos instigators in Artsakh
Opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan insists on a "zero tolerance" policy towards those trying to instigate chaos in blockade-hit Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
In a social media post on Friday, Abrahamyan, secretary of the opposition Pativ Unem faction in the Armenian parliament, also stressed the need for equitable distribution of resources in the country and open dialogue between the Artsakh leadership and the public.
“There is a need for a “zero tolerance” attitude to those attempting to instigate chaos and crime in general,” he wrote.
“A cabinet reshuffle should not be based on the preferences of some political groups, but on competence and abilities,” the MP stressed.
His comments came after Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan on Thursday announced his resignation, along with the second most senior official, State Minister Gurgen Nersisyan.
