Artsakh leader introduces new state minister to cabinet members
President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan on Friday introduced newly appointed Artsakh State Minister Samvel Shahramanyan to the members of his government, as well as the heads of other state administration bodies and judicial leaders.
"Voicing his gratitude to the colleagues for their joint work, the Head of the State presented the reasons for his resignation. Noting that it is a very responsible period until the election of a new president by the National Assembly, Arayik Harutyunyan emphasized that overcoming it and implementing a change of power through legal means are of great importance for the preservation of statehood," the presidential office said in a statement.
"Arayik Harutyunyan urged his colleagues to soberly assess the situation and support the newly formed government in overcoming the humanitarian disaster created in the country and facing possible internal and external challenges.
"The President voiced his gratitude to Gurgen Nersisyan for taking responsibility in the state administration system during a difficult period for the country and to Samvel Shahramanyan for accepting the offer to take over the position of state minister in a difficult historical period," it added.
Incidentally, Harutyunyan submitted resignation to the Artsakh parliament earlier on Friday.
