Azerbaijani shelling on Armenia border has eased, ministry says
The intensity of Azerbaijani shelling targeting Armenian border positions has eased, the Defense Ministry reported.
"As of 2:15 p.m., the intensity of Azerbaijani fire toward the Armenian combat outposts adjacent to Sotk and Norabak has decreased," the ministry said in a statement.
"The Ministry of Defense will make an additional report on any development of the situation," it added.
Two Armenian soldiers were killed and another was wounded after their combat outposts near Sotk came under heavy cross-border fire early on Friday morning.
Azerbaijani troops also used UAVs to strike the Armenian army positions there, the authorities said.
