Azerbaijan continues shelling Armenian positions
Azerbaijani troops continued shelling Armenian army positions near the villages of Sotk and Norabak as of Friday afternoon, the Defense Ministry said, adding Armenian forces were taking defensive measures.
“As of 1:50 p.m., there is no change in the situation. The Azerbaijani armed forces continue to fire from fire arms and mortars at the Armenian combat outposts near Sotk and Norabak,” the ministry said in a statement.
“The Armenian military is taking appropriate defensive measures,” it added.
Two Armenian soldiers were killed and another was wounded after their combat outposts near Sotk came under heavy cross-border fire early in the morning.
Azerbaijani troops also used drones to strike the Armenian army positions there, the ministry said.
