Four Armenian soldiers killed in Azerbaijani shelling
Four Armenian soldiers were killed and another was injured in Azerbaijani shelling near the border villages of Sotk and Norabak, the Defense Ministry said on Friday. Earlier, two Armenian servicemen were reported killed by Azeri fire.
“As a result of the Azerbaijani provocation, the Armenian side has 4 killed in action and 1 wounded,” the ministry said in a statement, promising to identify the deceased servicemen later.
The Armenian border outposts in Gegharkunik Province came under heavy Azeri fire on Friday morning. In addition to firing small arms, the Azerbaijani military used UAVs and mortars to strike the Armenian positions.
