Azerbaijan preparing the ground for renewed attack, Armenia says
The Armenian Defense Ministry has rejected Azerbaijan’s accusations of truce violation, saying that Baku is preparing the ground for renewed attack on its positions.
“The statement disseminated by the Azerbaijan Defense Ministry that allegedly on September 2, at around 11 a.m., units of the Armenian armed forces discharged fire from mortars against the Azerbaijani combat positions located in the eastern part of the border, is another disinformation,” the ministry said in a statement.
“The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry is creating an information basis in order to continue the provocation,” it added.
Three Armenian soldiers were killed and two others were wounded in Azerbaijani shelling on Friday.
