Analyst warns of fresh Azeri attack
Political analyst Hrant Melik-Shahnazaryan has warned that Azerbaijan is planning to launch fresh military aggression against Armenia, accusing Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s team of hiding the “imminent threats” from the people.
“The Azerbaijani social media platforms are flooded with videos of military equipment movement and mobilization,” he wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
“Aliyev's propaganda machine claims that Pashinyan has declared war on Azerbaijan. Russian Telegram channels are hinting at the areas in Armenia which the enemy plans to strike.
“However, the Armenian media and the public do not notice all this. They were only discussing the protesters sent by [Yerevan mayoral candidate Tigran] Avinyan during the whole day. And this is exactly the mud in which the Pashinyan regime keeps the people. So that we don't suddenly learn about the impending threats and their scale,” the analyst stated.
Three Armenian soldiers were killed and two others injured in Azerbaijani shelling near the border villages of Sotk and Norabak on September 1.
